I guess I just couldn’t get away from the crown jewelry idea for my mother’s day gift.  I ventured over to my favorite little gift shop in town in hopes of finding something special.  And the thing of it is I stumbled upon these beauties…

A kind of create your own piece by a fun, not to mention, darling company called Pick Up Sticks.

Pick Up Sticks was started by two cousins from a small town in New Mexico.  Two girls who grew up playing together in their small town, moving on to have regular jobs and then magically ending up making treasures together that they once sought out when playing in the backyard.

These lovely creations are all about choices.  You pick the chain, maybe a dainty one or perhaps a more sturdy and casual one.  And they you add your own personal touch by picking the fun, quirky and pretty charms that are available.

I chose a letter “C” for my mom, Cynthia and a little crown because, after all, she is the Queen Mum!
