Hello Everyone!!!
I’m back from the U.K. and ready to connect with everyone in blog land. I had a wonderful trip and I’m so excited to tell you about it. The conference was fabulous, time with friends was great, shopping was amazing and the inspiration was as lovely as you would imagine. Don’t you always find that when you are at home you are always dreaming of getting away and when you are away your heart longs for home? It is a bit of a disease for me, really! A beautiful quote by D.H. Lawerence says it quite perfectly, “She was a romantic in being homesick for somewhere else.” By the end of the week I was so ready to get home to my family. Getting to see my husband and kids was treat enough but my wonderful husband had a little surprise for me…My very own English garden (I have been dreaming of one for a very long time…in fact I was taking a bunch of pictures to bring back to him – ha!). And on top of that some of our home repairs that we are working on were completed. I felt like I came home to some type of home makeover show (new pool liner, our torn up basement got a start on it and my mother in law started tearing down the wallpaper in my bathroom – not it must be finished — she is a smart lady!). So I have to say that overall it was an amazing week both here and there.
I’ll probably take several days to share about my trip… the conference, shopping, inspiration, gardens, ideas, etc. So be on the lookout over the next week or two.
P.S. Thanks for all of the sweet comments before my trip!
Happy week to you all!
