Kitchen Crush : Nigella Lawson

I heart Nigella.  I love to watch her show.  And I am quite specific when I watch it.  No interruptions, a cup of tea and most likely a piece of dark chocolate in hand and I must listen to every word she says because sometimes it is like listening to poetry.  I also watch very closely because not only do I want to replicate her cooking but also the look of her kitchen.  Now I know this is probably not her “real” kitchen but I adore it none the less (and other areas of her house which I could not track down).
What I love is:
-The white (of course), grounded by some dark wood (kitchen table)
-All of the sparkle in the chandelier, candelabra, lamp, ghost chairs and all of those fairy lights (that is what they call them in England!  Doesn’t it sound better than Christmas lights?  And, thus it makes perfect sense to leave them up year round for a touch of whimsy.)
-The mix of old and modern that gives an all around magical appearance
-The pops of color in her plates and kitchen items
-The bright pink couch
-etc., etc., etc.,
My apologies for the poor quality, I had to get these pretties from You Tube.

Oh I love it too. And yes – they are fairy lights (that is what we call them here in Australia as well!) – I agree, fabulous to keep them up all year round (that and they are too time consuming and fiddly to be taking up and down too many times!) – Well done on the you tube shots – must have been time consuming! – the things we do for images for our blogs hey! xxxx

Kimberlee – you are right…. this blogging thing can be a little time consuming. I’m trying to find some balance ;)

    PVE- Nigella is the BEST!

I admit to loving Nigella as well. I used to adore the earlier shows when she was a little more open with her ‘real’ life dashing around London with her children when they were small. I saw her on TV in Australia this week interviewed and she looked stunning. She just gets better and better.
The thing I love about her house is all her wonderful books!

Nigella is so stunning. I would love to see some of her old shows.. wonder if I could track them down online. A long time ago I saw a few episodes of Nigella Bites but I’d love to see more.. I am always fascinated by all the books too!! Would love to have a look!

I agree – I absolutely love her kitchen style and I've been hunting the web to see where I can find a light similar to her kitchen globe chandelier. If anyone has any ideas – please do share.
