Welcome to Christmas at my house. I thought you might like a peek into my home this time of year. If we all lived near, I would have you over for tea and Christmas cookies! I assure you nothing spectacular to feast your eyes upon just some of my favorite little things.
The view into my backyard. I think the woods are most magical this
time of year.
My hodge podge tree (several ornaments are from my childhood, which I love!)
other little guy (on the left), now named Candy Cane ,at the flea market
the other day. I couldn’t resist. And now have leverage for good
My little ornament twig concoction

A Closer look
My mantle. Stockings aren’t up yet (need some new hooks) but you
get the idea. I think we hung the garland a little high but, oh well. I’m
not bothered enough to move the hooks and besides it kind of looks like
an “M” for my last name!

This is a sweet little plate (a lot smaller than it looks) that I found at the
flea market the other day for a few dollars. I love the pops of color.
Another one of my little fav’s (I have a thing for little
things. This can be a real problem). I bought this
pretty at Shabby Chic last year. I had forgotten about
it and was so excited when I pulled it out of the box
this year!

Thank you for this lovely little peak into your christmas world! I just adore the twig vignette you set up.
And don’t you love that feeling of discovery when you open an ornament box and discover the pretties you’ve forgotten about since last year!

I am so envious of your lovely wood view! And snow as well! That is glorious. I imagine the air must be so pristine there! The decorations are all lovely and cozy. Yes, I am so with you on the whimsical elements as well! x

Gorgeous job with the decorating! I would love that view of snow covered woods outside my home right now – we are having a heat wave as usual for this time of the year!

Trina, your house is looking cozy and beautiful! Love those little elves – my grandpa who passed a few years ago gave me a little light-up wreath with the same type of elves on it and those bring back great memeories!

You’re Elf on a Shelf takes me back in time. This was always a favorite Christmas tradition growing up.
Great blog!

I can’t believe you found the elf in a flea market! My mother has three of them and they each have bells. She used to hang them in our entryway. She still does too! So cool! I’m going to have to keep my eyes pealed at Christmas time in flea markets for some more.
