Cookie? Pie? Give it a Try!

Thought you might all enjoy a different pie recipe.  Since there is an abundance of pies and cookies I say why not combine the two?  Chocolate chip cookies are always a favorite.  This recipe comes by way of my friend Rebekah.  I have to say that I think I under cooked mine a little (see what I mean).  I was afraid of over cooking and turned down the oven a wee bit.  But I have never minded any kind of chocolate goo so this was not a problem for me.  Next time I’ll stick the directions, I suppose!

Toll House Pie
1 refrigerated 9 inch pie crust
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup choc chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Cool whip or vanilla ice cream

*Beat eggs til foamy, beat in flour, sugar, brown sugar. Beat in
butter.

*Stir in chips and nuts, spoon into pie shells.

*Bake 325 for 55 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Serve warm
with
topping.

Hmmm…this looks delish! One of my many New Years resolutions is to get craftier in the kitchen. Perhaps I will start with a desert.
