I’m looking for this kind of weekend. All things restful, pretty, relaxing and enjoyable. Enjoy the the small things like a long breakfast with family, a walk in the park or the birds singing and spring time tune!

Hi Trina – thanks for your comments over @ The Hedge re the roman blind in our bedroom. I chose a really heavyweight Manuel Canovas natural cotton. It had a really interesting self pattern through it, which isn't obvious in my pics. They were fully lined with a block-out fabric to lengthen their life. I also added wide French braid on the hem in the same tones just for some additional interest.
My friend Charmie an Interior Designer who did them for me is a real stickler about the roller chain mechanism for all the romans she does. We paid a bit more, but they are magic. We have the same blinds in our Living Room & Dining rooms (without the braid trim)& its the best decision I've made. I wanted very simple window treatments as the garden & huge old Oaks up here in the Hills are the stars & didn't want anything to detract from them. With the romans rolled up the garden positively jumps into the rooms through the large windows.
