I read this (below), last week, over at Anita Kaushal’s blog and think it is utterly fabulous. I think its something we should read everyday! It’s like a dose of preventative medicine, that is sure to keep us young and alive and full of a delicious life.
The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.
To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and
too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

this all is just perfectly said. For me I have decided to start giving real hugs to everyone I come in contact with. I am good at little hugs, but I want to give everyone mama hugs. The one’s that make that person feel as if they are the most important person to me.

Wonderfully stated. No one wants to live a mundane existence. Every day I try to decide if what I’m doing will inspire me now and make me smile in the future. My goal is to be able to tell amazing stories to my grandchildren when I’m old. No one wants to hear about the office drone who ate Lean Cuisines while watching reality tv every night. Life like every day is your last.

Thank you for this. Yesterday, at church, I was just thinking about how I am so tired of hearing about how bad things are and how they are just gonna get worse. I don’t think God intended for us to live in fear. Actually, I know He didn’t.

I was feeling a little glum today so perfect timing with your post. Thanks also for mentioning Anita Kaushal’s Blog. I’ve had one of her books on Amazon on order for ages. I love her home! The swing is brilliant! Had no idea she has a Blog.

Just read your blog this Tuesday morning. I googled
Christian Larson, his wisdom was written in 1921. I am going to pass it on to my email friends. It gave me motivation to work on my attitude!
Thank you for posting it,
