Mastering Nothing for Now

Apologies for my absence.  I actually took somewhat of a last minute trip to Colorado with my family to visit family and attend my cousins wedding.
Well, I am, of course, home now.  And after several days of trying to recuperate have done so (thanks to my sister keeping the kids for the day).  It took a pedicure, some magazines, coffee with my husband and a good movie (popcorn and milk duds, included) to fully recover.
I suppose you can guess what movie I just saw?  Julie and Julia.  I had no doubts I would like this movie . . . its by Nora Ephron, It’s biographical and it is about three of my favorite things, Cooking, France and blogging (writing).  I am with out apologies inspired to cook and write, write, and write.  All inspiration and attempts at doing anything extra than my daily duties have failed me over the last 6 months (but I guess there is fair reason in that my body is doing its own magical creative work in growing a baby).
I wish I had some great plan to blog about something so specific, but I don’t.  I wish I had a cook book to write and that I definitely don’t. I’m always wishing I had something to master or be the best at . . .  But for today I am certainly sure I should just keep blogging and writing, even if it is just about this and that and somethings in between and I am also certainly sure that whatever should come of it all will.
As for now I think……
1.  I have  a few ideas for upcoming posts
2.  I’m going to buy “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” and try some (not all, of the recipes)
3.  Have a giveaway…..it’s been far too long
Ps – you should go see this movie if you haven’t.  I know you all would love it!

I've been curious to try something from that cookbook but I have to be honest, it's a little intimidating for me! Let us know how it goes!
