All I want is a bed that I don’t want to get out of. I kind of had that bed, sort of. We got a new mattress and bed about a year ago. The mattress (A Simmons Raquel Pillow Top – Do NOT buy this) was so soft and cozy but somehow had two sink holes where we slept and a huge hump in the middle. After replacing it 2x. We decided to try a new mattress (do you really want to know all this?). So we upgraded to a Sterns and Foster. Which I expect no troubles from. Since sleeping in sink holes dear hubby has been having back troubles and now insists on a firm mattress (yuck!). How do we compromise on this and how do I even come close to deciding what is comfortable when I am 9 months pregnant … NOTHING is comfortable. So we decided and on a Firm pillowtop. That sounded like a compromise. It arrived on Wednesday. And it is horribly hard. Like sleeping on the floor hard. I can’t sleep. And of course dear hubby says he is sleeping great. I guess we should have gotten a sleep number, but who knew. We both liked soft pillowtops before the sink hole mattress.
I dread the bed and that is bad. So I’m researching some today. I don’t even know if they will let us trade again (Ashley Furniture, that is, and they have been GREAT).
Well here is to dreaming of a comfy bed that I don’t want to get out of, like the picture above. Those sheets and that food on the platter- scrummy!
Happy Weekend!

Sorry about the new bed, maybe you should get a memory foam for your side of the bed. Hope you come to a comfortable solution. The picture is lovely, I want a nap now!
Love and hugs,

we just went through the same exact thing!! (and i'm also 9 months pregnant) we ended up getting a plush firm pillowtop from macy's and it's a great compromise. the firm pillowtop was still too hard for us. good luck!

Those sheets look too good to be true.
My husband and I have a TempurPedic knockoff. It took a while to get used to and it is definetly not a pillow top. But now we wouldn't trade it for anything. They truly are amazing. And you can try them for 30 days! so you don't lose anything.

I know it's so hard to find a good bed. I love hotel beds, like the Westin bed and you can order it online.

oh no! we have a pass me down mattress from when we were married. I bet they are over 10 years old. Hubby has been having major back pain lately. we may have to make the investment into something new. Let me know what you find.

ugh! not a good thing to not have a comfy bed to get much needed rest in!!
We spent quite a bit of time researching & my hubby was convinced that the mattress he slept on at Westin Hotel was the only one for him….
I said sure, if your happy, I'm happy. Turns out it was true! Great bed, no flipping, built to last (hotel mattresses usually are) and comfy! It's been 5 years and still love it.
Hope it helps, maybe a night away in a Westin to try it ;)

My hubby and I bit the bullet and bought a deluxe tempur-pedic 2 years ago. It was the best purchase we've made. It still is soft on top. No more chiro visits, no more tylenol pm. It takes a bit getting used to, but we'll never go back :)

All these hotel beds are calling my name!!! We have to stick with whatever Ashley Furniture sells because of the warranty. My dear hubby is magic…. he worked it out today to replace this new one (I think ashley is going to hate us). The mattress has a really strong chemical type smell ….so because of that they will let us replace it.. thank God for the bad smell…now I can pick out something softer. Will stick with Sterns and Foster so if anyone has a Sterns and Foster they love …let me know which one!
