Manifesto

I know I seem to be a all about Barbies lately. El got this Jonathan Adler Barbie for her birthday. I didn’t even know she existed, this one, and I’m quite taken with her. I totally dig her style both fashion and decor. Here is what I loved most….The Jonathan Adler Manifesto on the back of the box. Because, I love words so much, of course.
We believe that your home should make you happy.
We believe in the innate chicness of pink.
We believe that girls can do anything.
We believe in being under dressed or overdressed always.
We believe tassels are the earrings of the home.
We believe in teeny tiny shoes and sunglasses.
We believe that stilettos can never be too high.
We believe you’re never to full for a cupcake.
We believe blondes look their best with a Malibu tan.
We believe in a dream house, a dream car, and a dream life.
We believe Barbie doll is fabulous!
Pretty great, right?
I got thinking …. a manifesto? I like this idea…I like it very much. So much I want my very own. Don’t you? I haven’t written one yet. It will probably take me awhile. Write one with me….I think you should! Here is another type of list that I love so much. You’ll read it once and then want to read it all over again!

I love the Barbie manifesto. I could live with that one. People say the Barbie persona is sexist. I disagree. I think she is a wonderful empowered person who is an astronaut, a fireperson, a teacher, anything she wants and she looks good doing it. xoxo

Barbie is looking very chic these days.
I love the idea of a manifesto. I also love the other list that you linked. I have written things like this before. I wonder if I kept them? If not, maybe I should give it a go again, too.

YES! His other manifesto on his site is way fab too. My favorite is, "We believe that when it comes to decorating, the wife is always right.
    Unless the husband is gay."

    HAHA! Love it!

I love manifestos and have been trying to write my own for a loooong time…but you know what? It's not all that easy. I think I'll be finished and then want to add something. I should read those how to tips you linked to and maybe I will try it again.

I don't mind you posting on Barbie, I have always been a fan. I love your Jonathan Adler Barbie, she is very cute. I have two daughters that don't care for dolls at all. I just couldn't believe that.

Barbie's are just the best. I love the 'funness' of it all, and the nostalgia too.

I love the Jonathan Adler barbies. My girlfriend bought herself one for Christmas and I was so jealous. She also bought the pink couch, I think I drooled! I love barbies my 5 year old has tons.
I love the tassels are the earrings of the home and we believe that your home should make you happy!

My brother and his wife don't buy barbies for their girls so I am the super aunt who only buys girly things and barbies for them. I am their favorite!
