It’s spring break and we are camping out. In tents in our family room, that is. That is as close to camping as I get. Call me a snob but maybe I’ll just blame this on my parents for never taking me camping and not instilling in me a love of sleeping outdoors. Instead, I tagged along on business trips and learned to love fancy hotels. I very much like room service and chocolate on my pillows {me thinks the hubs would rather me be the camping type}.
However, at this age, my kids thinking sleeping in a tent inside the house is pretty fun, so we are rocking it!
Last night we watched the Fantastic Mr. Fox, which I thought was pretty fantastic. But then again it is a Wes Anderson movie. Magic of sorts.
Oh and baby slept till 6am. Now that is crazy good magic or something. Well really, I know it is all the prayers I’ve been praying and soliciting from everyone I have ever met and even some I’ve never known… so thank you if that includes you.
Come by tomorrow. I’ll show you were I’d really like to be for spring break.
Happy Day! xx

What a coincidence…we cuddled up on the sofas last night and watched Fantastic Mr. Fox together too!! The indoor camping is a sweet & fun adventure for your family. We used to do the very same thing when my boys were young…so many wonderful memories!

I'm so glad I'm not alone. My parents both disliked camping so I'm a product of them through & through. Your kind sounds like great fun. Hopefully wee baby will get to liking that 6 a.m. hour! Enjoy your break and the fun x

I'm not much of a happy camper, either. There's something about upping your chance of eating a spider in your sleep that just kinda bothers me.

I love the picture of the "silver bullet." I would love to have one someday. In our family camping involves setting up in the backyard -some late night swimming with smores – a quick change and then watching a dvd on our portable player in the tent. It just seems safer that way – we are fenced in!

I want to do this so badly!!!!!!!!!!!!
recently we made a den in the living room, 5 mattresses on the floor and all the sheets we could find pinned by threads to the ceiling. It was like a magical morrocan tent. We slept in it for weeks.
However we all got skin allergies off the dust in the carpet (university halls are not clean). So it wasn't all good hahah.
AAAAAAh to be a student forever haha

1. My parents did take me camping and I would much rather be in hotel too.
2. The Fantastic Mr. Fox
3. You are a great mother.

Haha, I love camping (my other half more) but then I also love the 5 star treatment at hotels as I travel a lot. Nice blog!

Sleeping on the ground is really overrated!
Baby sleeping till 6 AM is amazing… When I think about the first 6 months of my girls life, I get queasy! I think I had a sore throat the whole time!

I grew up going camping on the French Riviera…, and I'd love to go on a tour with one of those vintage campers!
