i want. i love. i have. Books

i want.
Taschen travel books are super fab and I could never have enough books on London. I travel there quite often, in my head that is.
i love.
my Message Bible. It is by far my favorite and my best book. The one book I could not live without. It’s full of stories, poetry and beautiful words of hope and encouragement. Most of the stories are about people, normal people, like you and me who did some extraordinary things. There are stories of triumph and some of tragedy. But the greatest story in this book is LOVE. A life of Love given and a life of love to live.
I adore words, and these are some of my favorite words from this book….
Relax, everything’s going to be all right; rest, everything’s coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way! (Jude 1:2)

i have.
The New Shabby Chic book which is full of eye candy. I always feel so relaxed after looking at anything Shabby Chic. One thing I love about this book is that it also features photographer Amy Nuensinger’s House.
A few pics from the book . . . see what I mean?

Here are some other books I’m reading at the mo. As you can see, all pretty relevant and pertinent to life right now.
I read this when my second was born and thought I might be able to use the ideas, tips and info now more than ever. And I think I am little fascinated with large families at the moment (9 by Design, etc.)
Bought this book after #2 as well. Looking for magic potion sleep solutions. I’ve pulled it off the shelf again in hopes of any little nuggets of gold to put me on the path to a full nights sleep.
I’m cooking (or should I say going to be cooking) out of this book. Now that is one home I’d love to go to for dinner.
I do hope to pick up an actual novel this summer and if I’m sleeping well (meaning brain functioning at full capacity) then I hope to read one of these classics.
I also collect old and pretty copies of Austen and Bronte books. One of my dearest friends, who is English, scoured the country and found me a very old copy of Emma. And my sister found me a pretty little copy of Emma in South Africa. I also have a lovely old copy of Jane Eyre that I bought in Haworth, Brontes very own town, a couple of years ago. It is a two volume book. My sister has one volume and I hold the other. These are all so special to me.
What books are you loving at the moment?

Nice interiors. I've been trying to read a book by Indonesian author Pramoedya Ananta Toer, I enjoyed the first book I read by him, but this one is taking me sooo long.

Love love love the Message translation. I have it on cd and can listen while I paint. Also am reading "Reading Lolita in Tehran" right now for my book club. It's a wonderful insight into another culture.
