Fit for a Queen

Ever since I first saw the work of Ann Carrington I have loved it. First it was the Crown Jewels of England in Gwyneth’s Hampton home (I know this should be Gwyneth week, right? Are there pics of her London home?). And then there was the Queen of Bow. Can’t remember where I first laid eyes on her but I know she resides at the Novagratz home (Sixx Design– and aren’t you just loving that show? I can’t get enough) as well as some of the projects they have done. And look at the detail. They are made of gorgeous buttons. Dreamy.
The other day I was having a quick visit at The Diversion Project (I’m loving this blog if you haven’t made friends yet) and low and behold found out that they are selling limited edition prints of Ann Carrington’s work. Hmmmm. I had a few dollars saved up for my living room. Paint or Ann Carrington print? Ann Carrington print or paint? What would you do? They are on the smaller side so you obviously wouldn’t quite get the above effect. And do they even ship overseas? I don’t know. Sometimes just thinking about it makes me just as happy.

I love her work – I never knew her name until now, but I always love coming across an image with one of her pieces!

That right there is blowing my mind. Just imagine how the buttons shine in person.

So pleased you posted about this, I'd seen the Sixx design pics and loved the artwork, I'm very tempted to purchase too, but like you the size of the print is putting me off slightly…not the print itself!

Thanks for the shout out Trina – that's so monster nice of you! : )

I think i like Gwynnie's best of all, the grading at the bottom is gorg.

I'd best become bff's with her and pop round for a cup of tea. Wonder if she'd notcie it tucked under my arm as i left?! : )

Funny…I was just on her site thinking of purchasing a print the other day…didn't even realize the measurement was in cm not inches. Smaller than i thought! I REALLY want one. Just love it! Let me know if you get one!
