This and That

Lost & FOUND
The week – END did not END so badly. In fact, it ended quite happily. Friday, I called animal control for like the 5th time and lo and behold they had a dog that fit Maxi’s description. Blind eye and all. I went down to find him among at least 20 pit bulls and was glad to bring the poor old guy home. One thing I’m sure of, is that this dog has 9 lives. I’ve lost count of which one we are on.
FIRST Day of School
is tomorrow. I snapped this little picture at church today. No fun outfits for school since it’s all uniform business (boring). But we had to buy one fun outfit while school shopping. Do you think I might have influenced her decision at all?
It’s a ZOO
At least life feels that way lately with all of this back to school craziness. But we managed to take a trip to see the real animals the other day.

And I was most fascinated with the herringbone design patterns at the Lion house.
This is what blogging does to the brain.

Any posed pictures came out looking like this. How surprising!
And the name of this piece of art (if you can’t zoom in) is appropriately titled “Peas and Quiet.” What’s that? Seems like something from a distant or faint memory !
Check back mid day for the winner of the Shabby Apple Giveaway.
Are you still looking for school shoes? How about THESE for fringe benefits? And their on sale!
Totally thrilled & really grateful to have won THESE from this darling blog! Thank you!!!
Since it’s back to school … tra la la la la… I’ll be posting about the la la littles all week!

we bloggers definitely can show peculiar behaviour. My digital camera is standard equipment in my handbag and sometimes I relly get looks from people or from my kids for that matter: "Mum do you really HAVE to take a picture of THAT…". Have a wonderful week, it will be full on with your kids going to school again!

ps I am having a lovely give away of Pia Jane Bijkerk's "Amsterdam By Hand"!

Oh I'm so glad you found Maxi! We brought home a puppy about 4 days ago – her name is Lizzy and she's a Labrador x Kelpie. You can see pic's of her on my blog if you like? (I'm a blog newbie!)

Thanks for your blog, I love your photos.

:0 i cant believe you lost him :( but I'm so happy he has been found :).

My dog disappeared when he was young. we eventually (and I don't know how) found him lying in a bush in a field a few mile away. He was torn to pieces and dazed. We think he got hit by a car but not seriously and then ran through the barbed wire fence next to the road.

we ran over and stroked him and he stood up like nothing had happened and wandered home with us. Then climbed in his bed and slept for a few hours.

I am so happy you found Maxi. I have a boston terrier too. His name is Bacon and I would be crushed if he was lost.
