A Story

Here is something about me. My sister and I write letters to each other on a regular basis, although we live in the same state. And, almost, even better than our letters, full of words to one day be passed down curious minds, are the little random things we send each other. Her letters and bits are far more interesting than the things I send. Amy is an artist. Her letters look like collage art. I pay attention to the way she does things, I mimic and now I am finding my way in the world of interesting creatives.
Anyhow, one day, with a screaming baby on my hip . . . I ripped apart the August Anthropologie Catalog (you can click here to see the pictures clearly) & made a little story for my sister. I love the idea of this. I think the outcome could be WAY better with two hands, a quiet room and a free hip.
Thought you might enjoy my mini story, just maybe.

Hi – I really enjoyed this! So sweet and letter writing is just such a missed art form now. I try to write postcards when I can but letters not so much. Love the English post office in the Anthro pictures! Can just imagine you and you sis there… Lou x

Very fun! I love the 'cool pauses'. LOL! You two are lucky to have eachother and I love that you write eachother and are in the same state!

that is so cute! i love that idea! what a great way to recycle and make it fun, too!
btw, my dining table is from crate and barrell and right after i got it i saw the world market one for less money. however we had gift cards left from our wedding so 6 yrs ago for our one year anniversary my parents gave us the difference so we could get the table, so at least it was still a good deal for me!

How fun that you have real letters to look forward to. I miss that. I think your story is exactly what the marketing folks at anthro had in mind when they put the catalog together! They want to get our imaginations going, that is what they are best at, I think!
Hope the baby has stopped screaming by now.

that is so funny. my sister saved all my letters i wrote to her when she was overseas and in college and i was a teen.
    they are so hysterical.
i drew pictures and told stories. we die laughing when we read them….20 years later!

What fun you and your sister have. I'm thinking the press for time with having a baby on the hip made your brain work faster and better – the story was too cute!

Ahh, thank you all for the sweet comments. I do agree that letter writing is a missed art form, Lou. There is nothing better than getting a letter in the mailbox, right?

Cassie- Well, your table does look nicer, I have to say. The top of mine is completely bumpy. It's suppose to be that way but it is a little too much so.
