Do any of you have an IKEA crib?
I was not planning on buying a second crib but I think the Brave is just too small to be moved into a bed in the next couple of months. I’m all about the confinement of a crib (hello, crib tents are my friend).
I’m torn between a basic IKEA crib or the Jenny Lind Crib. I want something simple and inexpensive. I’ll have it set up in my room for the first couple of months so I don’t want anything really heavy looking.
I’m headed to IKEA tonight, so……I’d love your input if you have any to offer.

No experience with the Ikea crib but I do have the Jenny Lind at our cottage & I just adore it. Every time I look at it I smile…I am sure seeing my little man in there is the main reason, but it is such a timeless classic look.

I LOVE my IKEA crib. For the price and function you can't beat it.

When we got a crib for #2, #1 was only 14 months so I got a mini crib.. it was ideal and cute . Can't remember where I got it but I just looked up Target and they have one called Athena Mya and it looks just like it. $140.

I really enjoy your blog! It has become one of my internet browsing routines. I just saw the one you posted about Kate Spade's Pop up shop in London, and really enjoyed that info. I really like both cribs, but especially love a white Jenny Lind it would be a great look while having it set up in your room. Your friend, Jennifer (Heikkila) Johnson

I love love the IKEA crib- if I was ever to have another baby, I'd definitely be purchasing one- love the fun colours they come in too- I find them so much more stylish than those giant wood high backed curvy things- simple and chic!!!

No advice on cribs, but wanted you to know that our kids were also very close in age and when our son came along we moved our daughter to a full size mattress on top of a box spring on the floor in her "new" room. That way, even if she rolled out she wasn't hurt. That was our thinking. She never rolled out, though. There are 16 months between them. I don't remember how old your son is, but it's a thought :). Made for a smooth transition too.

Well… I decided on the IKEA crib. Smaller, cheaper and more modern. It's going in my room for a while so it will be a better fit. I think the simple modern structure works great for boys and it was a steal of a price. Let's hope it works out!
Thanks for all the input!!! I ALWAYS love it!

We have the IKEA… and I know you already bought it – but you will love it. And you will love the conversion to the toddler bed. They make it so easy.
