A Peaceful Life {Reverie Daydream}

I’m so thrilled to have Melissa of Reverie Daydream share with us.  The ever inspiring Melissa not only writes a blog that ensues beauty both in word and image but she also has an online artisan botique full of all kinds of goodness.  I love reading Melissa’s words because they are always so full of life and you can really tell that she loves her life, every little detail of it, and lives life to the fullest.  Melissa is sharing on living a peaceful life . . . something that she personally practices.

. . . . . . . . .

Peaceful living is something my soul craves.  Everything from within just flows better when our home is an oasis of peace, but of course, it is impossible to achieve this every moment of the day.  However, there are some things we do daily to maintain a somewhat serene environment.

Classical Music is on a continuous stream.

Candles. The beautiful glow they emit along with a calming essence of Lavender keep our senses at ease.

Books are everywhere.  In corners, atop tables, lining bookshelves and walls ~ and we can always just escape to anywhere and somewhere when those covers are opened and the pages are turned.

Fresh Air.  Open windows and doors allowing breezes and sounds of nature to drift throughout every room.

Healthy Food.  Good, wholesome sustenance throughout the day, every day.

    Melissa always gets it so right. Simple things like books and candles and healthy foods do make such a world of difference.

    Oh I love all those candles up the staircase…a little scary that I’d set the house on fire. I especially like candles on the patio on summer evenings.
