How was you’re weekend?
I have to tell you a thing or two. The first is that, this little Rocco is something. He is a sleeper and not much of a fusser. I’m not quite sure what to do with that? I’m used to spending my nights walking, pacing, bouncing + jiggling babies to no avail. I haven’t done that once. I keep looking to make sure he resembles me, my husband or his siblings. He is mine, I’m sure of it. I have to say it is a world of a difference to have a calm baby. And I’m rather enjoying this new little world.
I spent some time attempting to clean up my bookshelves + for lack of a better word decorate them. I do not have the bookshelf decorating/styling gift. I managed to clean things up a bit and that has helped the look but It’s still not quite what I was imagining. Did I ever tell you that I live in the house that I grew up in? It’s a long story and maybe for another day. But sometimes it’s just hard to get past that. Making a change isn’t always that much of a change. And for more reasons than one I’m feeling that right now. Stuck in a time warp of sorts. Have you ever felt that way? The strange part is, I can look around and say, “oh that is so not me,” and yet this home is more me than any home may ever be. It’s quite a predicament. I’ve done my best to slowly make it my own {without the luxury of making major changes + with my parents wondering why I sometimes do what I do, (swing in the living room, painted white floors, etc) but I’m still trying to find myself in the place I’ve always been. I’m not sure how we got here from bookcases but here we are. It was just on my mind, I suppose.
What’s on your mind today?
I’ve got some really great guest posts lined up this week, that I know you will la la love!
Happy Monday!

Be careful — Rocco may grow out of all this sleeping and non-fussing. I apparently was a loud baby then a quiet child then an opinionated adult. Figures.
And I do want to hear more about your home. I can’t imagine staying in the home I grew up in — it’s so my parents’ style and so not mine. As for bookshelves, the most I do is organize books by subject and author. I’m first and foremost practical. Figures.

Hello Darling. I seem to have lost you on my blog list. Every time I enter your new address, Blogger keeps kicking me right back to your old one. Just another reason to love them so much, huh?
I’m glad to see that all is well. And I must say that I adore the name Rocco. Good job on that one. :)
