Missoni Craze

Did you get in on the Missoni craze at Target yesterday?  I did…it just so happened that I needed to go to Target early that morning.  No lines, where I live, just a good amount of mom’s that were sent to the store by daughters, that lived in bigger cities, because their Targets were out of stock.  I conquered amongst two screaming babies.  All the while, the older screaming baby of mine proceeded to say, no yell, to the younger screaming baby, “Please shush up.”  Yeah, for reals.  I’m pretty sure I don’t say that but now I’m worried that I do?  Or maybe it those older two of mine who have coined the phrase? But hey, I’m pretty proud of his manners in using the word “please,” first.  Regardless it was a sight to be seen.  And I didn’t even get what I originally needed from Target.  Oh well.

The above pictures are of the Missoni family (ad campaign from 2010).  I love a good family business.  You can read more about their story h e r e .  Aren’t the pictures beyond cool.  So Bohemian.  Italian Bohemian.  Italian Bohemian Empire.  I mean I didn’t even really know there was such a thing.  But I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get any cooler than that. Seriously, I have got to get myself to Italy.

So did you buy any Missoni goods from Target?  What did you snag?

I really WANT this blanket but out of stock.

And as if I didn’t buy enough, I’m thinking about one of these crib blankets for Rocco’s bed?  Yes?  No.  Which one? Someone tell me what to do!  Ehhh.

Oh, and yesterday . . . it started out pretty bad but one happy spot was the post that the lovely Jamie Flannigan wrote for me.  She picked the perfect craft room for me right h e r e .

The Missoni frenzy was crazy but fun. There are still items at my Target, the perks of living in a small town. As I was talking ti people abou it I was getting a lot of blank looks. Funny, and we are right outside of a metropolitan area in Florida. Oh well, great for me.

Get the blanket. Both are cute. I like the one with the blue trim.

    Love your blog!

That is funny.. It was a bit like that where I live too. I think I just might get the blanket if it is still online :-)

I never made it over to Target like I had been planning to – but, I guess after I heard about all the mayhem, I probably wouldn’t have found much anyway. Sounds like there were too many snatchin it up for ebay people.
    Love your baby story!
