I can hardly wait until Sunday Nights.  I’m completely obsessed with Downton Abbey.  Seriously, I am as happy as a kid in a candy store.  If you just put a cup of tea in my hand [ok, and a cookie, or shall I say biscuit, too] and leave me to get lost in another time, I’m golden.  I can’t resist a good period piece and brilliant story.  I, of course, love the costumes  [the clothing is breathtaking at times], the characters and the English countryside [be-still my heart].  But do you know what I, almost, adore the most?  The talk.  The way people conversed back then, even about the everyday, was so poetic.  The words they used.  The thought that was taken in conversation.  So eloquent.  So interesting.  So telling.

Are you just as caught up in this series as I am?  Do you have a favorite character?  I actually am really taken with Lady Mary.  She, at first, seemed very cold but I see and recognize a sense of duty in her character.  I think she just might surprise us in the end.
