Happy Monday.  It’s a raining here but I’m so OK with that (that is, until I have to walk into the school, baby in tow, to pick up my toddler, then I will despise the rain).

I had a really fun weekend.  Ella, otherwise known as La La in our home, recently turned 9.  So this weekend we celebrated by heading into the city with my mom.  I hadn’t really thought about it being St. Patrick’s Day when I planned this outing and, well, Chicago on St. Patrick’s Day is ca-ra-zay.  If anything, it was definitely colorful and I mean in more ways than wearing a people wearing green clothing.  We finally made it to the art museum, which was so much fun.  Ella really liked it but did get a bit bored, sooner than I had hoped.  But I’m just happy we went.  The Thorne Miniature Rooms were definitely the favorite.  It’s like 50 dollhouses from all different eras.  How could you not love that?  My fave piece of art by far was the Sky Above Clouds IV by Georgia O’Keeffe (shown above).  It’s beyond breathtaking and I’d really like it to come live with me.  Later, we headed over to Paper Source, which can be a real problem if you like paper products, like me.  It’s such a cool store.  And after pushing our way through sea of green on the streets, we decided to stay in, swim, order room service and watch a movie.  Couldn’t have been better.
