Another week. Another mess. Last week, we kicked off a new series called Monday Mess. This week the mess is my desk. Again, it is not disastrous, it’s just messy. As in, piles that could easily go away, don’t ever seem to go away.
A few coffee rings that stayed for a week or so. Would you believe, I actually kind of liked the way they looked. Something very lived in about it. I’m always so happy when I’m able to sit at my desk with a cup of coffee, paper and pen. And see that little basket on the floor with the garbage in it? Here is a secret . . . it is not a garbage can.
This week, I’m hoping to clean off my desk. Find a proper place for my 3 piles that just seem to be getting bigger and bigger. I can find what I need but the clutter is starting to clutter up my mind. Last week, I said I was going to clean out my coat closet and, well, it didn’t happen. I’m hoping to get around to that this week, too.
TIP / Keep only what you use daily on your desktop. Anything else put, neatly, in a drawer, on a shelf or in a cabinet. Take out what is needed, as needed, and then return it back to its proper place (and now I’m off to trying my own tip).
In keeping with my little desk area…my inspiration board needs to be tidied up. Basically, I’m in need of some new inspiration. I wish I had a whole day to just play aournd and create a completely new look. But I don’t. So I’m letting it go and leaving it. Maybe next week?!

Haha. Why is it that work messes never seem get orderly? I have a desk in my work room, but always seem to end up at the kitchen table. So I have to clean off a place to eat at every meal.

Thanks, Rebecca! My piles keep getting worse but I guess I’ll look at that as sign of things getting done! I can’t wait for next weeks Monday Mess!
