We are in the process of putting hardwood floors in our family room, which I’m so excited about. However, as you can imagine it has only started a new ongoing lists of wants and even a few needs. If we have hardwood floors then we have to have a rug, you see. Although hard to admit . . . swing arm lighting, only a want. Another, item on my need list is an occasional table (aka : coffee table). I’ve been without for a few years. It was just easier not to have one than to have little ones running into it. And, while I still have 2 that are little, I think there are a few ways to compromise (a round table, perhaps?). I have so missed having a place to group treasured pretties and, even more so, a place to rest my coffee upon or tray of food for company.
As you can see, I like all kinds of different looks. Love the idea of two round, almost nesting, tables. I always love a traditional piece with clean lines and then there is the lovely worn industrial look. All such pretty occasional tables that I would love to have.
Do you have a favorite (or family friendly) style?

I love these! We have two. One in a marble top round antique in which KJ has had TWO major accidents on. ugh. The second is knew and is a reclaimed worn wood brick layer table that I adore. The more it wears the better it gets!

@paula, Oh no. Poor KJ. And a round marble top is probably my fave look…maybe I should re-think. Hope you post pics of your new table. Sounds so pretty!
