Party Planning

I’ve got party planning on the brain.  Rocco turns 1 in less than month (sigh), which I can hardly believe.  I don’t have anything planned yet, and in fact, I’m going to keep it pretty simple.  One thing I do know is that, somehow, little animals are going to be making an appearance like this.  Simple but they make such a fun statement.  And even better is the idea of animals wearing party hats, brilliant (here is how to)!

Speaking of parties I saw the most magical ones ever, over on Design Mom (photos taken by photographer Eric Josjo).  If I could get my older kids to dress up like circus animals than I would be all over this.

And I’m never one to turn down the idea of a Pirate Party…especially one where you have to walk the plank- yeah!  A few years back we did a pirate + fairy party just for the fun of it.  Now that the kids are a little older, I’d love to do this theme right.

Have you seen any great party ideas or thrown any great parties lately?  Of course 1st birthday’s are usually not this elaborate but its still fun to look!

Have you considered using glass straws? They’re super classy and toxin free. I’ve seen a few brands out there. my favorite is simply straws, i love the travel case each straw comes with http://bit.ly/simplystraws

@Rebecca – A Daily Something, Of course! Sadly at my kids parties adults usually out number the kids, at least until they are about 5. But I’m ok with that!
