It’s true, I’m a long time fan of Euro Trash. So naturally, I was super excited to see designer Annie Brahler’s home featured in House Beautiful this month. Dreamy, right?
I can tell you that her home is even more beautiful in person….I’ve been there. In fact a few pieces from her home + Euro Trash are now happily living at my abode. A few years back, after learning about Euro Trash (and that it was only a few hours away from me), I decided to take a little trip with my mom and my friend, Jess. We drove a couple of hours south in my husbands pick up truck with trailer attached (yes, I’m totally serious). I had no idea whether the trailer was necessary or not but a girl has got to be prepared.
Annie was kind enough to show us her stunning home and I secretly was hoping that my car would break down and that we would all be stranded with no where to go. I could just imagine myself staying in one of those gorgeous rooms, sipping a cup of tea and reading Austen (sigh). Alas, no breakdown but I still enjoyed soaking in every detail of the home as well as talking with Annie about her work and style.
I did come back with a few things which are, honestly, two of my favorite pieces in my home. The thing I was most taken with in Annie’s home was all of the stunning empire chandeliers (which are glowing everywhere). I knew I had to have one. And I now do have a sparkling beauty of my own hanging in my bedroom. It gives off a gorgeous glow every night. And, I also adore the pretty old settee that sits at the foot of our bed which I brought back that day too.
After my little visit, Annie was kind enough to do an interview for la la Lovely, which you can read here. I adore her concept on design and style. I totally related. It’s def worth a read.
