Monday Mess . The Marion House Book

Of course, you probably know of The Marion House Book written by designer Emma Reddington.  And, if you aren’t familiar than I bet you may be familiar with her  insanely gorgeous home, maybe, without even knowing it.  It’s all over the place on Pinterest.  In fact, I keep pinning pictures of her home over and over without even realizing it (I get completely lost in the gorgeous detail and then realize -oh it’s Emma’s house!).  Emma is a mom to son, Henry, part time Exhibition Designer, part owner of a design studio and contributor to some well known publications + websites.  Sounds dreamy, yes?  And, to add to the excitement, she is about to have baby #2 any day now!  Congrats, Emma + family!

Be sure to check out one of my favorite features, Hello Neighbor, on Emma’s blog.

This week I’m racing to clean out all of the winter clothes from my closets (and my son’s) and get them stored away before my baby arrives! My Victorian closets are so small I have no choice but to switch out my wardrobe twice a year. The benefit of doing this is that I tend to sort through everything which keeps my closets from getting too out of hand.

For now, I’m happy to leave our linen closet a jumbled mess. I’ve come to the conclusion that I need a bigger piece of furniture to use as our closet so until that happens it will be a bit of a disaster.

Hello – don’t you just want to print out that quote and keep it in front of you at all times?  I do!

So lovelies, what is your desk looking like this week?  And, I’m curious, do you clean/organize your desktop at the end of each day or leave it until you just can’t take it anymore?  I’m afraid I fall into the later category.
Love looking at other’s beautiful messes?  Plenty more right here.

Girl, if that’s a mess, then my house is a disaster area! Lovely house. I adore that textured wallpaper.

What a fun post! Love it and I love Emma. I’m currently surrounded by left over tax stuff, washi tape, pencils and invoices. It got really bad yesterday, so it’s slightly tidier today. Slightly.
