I know you all know Michelle, mother of two, shop owner of Shop Pretty Mommy and finder of all things awesome. And if by, some small, chance you don’t know Michelle, than you will be glad for the introduction. Michelle and I haven’t met in person (yet) but it almost feels like we have We had babies around the same time and found ourselves up late at night on the interwebs, around the same time, looking for signs of life outside of our own four walls.
I have to say Michelle is a definite style icon. The girl is in the know on every cool thing that is out there. She find things before they are “things” and then they become a “thing.” I’ve added some of my favorite purses, jewelry and so on to my accessory collection from Michelle’s shop (and there is so much more I want to add…this is my go to shop when I want to treat myself). But above all, Michelle is a super great mom. She knows how to strike a balance between life’s demands and seems to do so, very, effortlessly. I’m always inspired by her thoughts, her view and her finds.
I like to think of our dining table as an ever changing still life…especially pretty on lazy Sunday mornings…post breakfast & farmers market run…a lovely newspaper reading, coffee drinking, crown making mess…
Our backyard and patio…since Lila has been out of school & the grandparents dropped off a blowup pool we have been in the backyard nonstop…hoping to spruce up our deck and find some great outdoor storage for all the random summer flotsam & jetsam…I just bought this cabana set up at Ikea so I can hide in the shade with the baby and sip some ice tea cocktails while the neighborhood kids splash around. Oh, and finally declutter and plant up all the pots strewn about…wish me luck!
The basement…out of sight, out of mind, eh? (until my husband goes down there to try to find something then all bets are off!)
A bit more about what is on Michelle’s table :
+ Jewelry is Odette & Dream Collective
+ Candle – Carriere Freres from Spruce
*I love how Michelle looks at her table as an ever chaining still life. I’m going to try to take that view too. What about you lovelies, do things tend to pile up on your dining table to?
