So, you know I like me some beauty products. And you know what else I like? A warm summers glow. I don’t achieve this very well on my own, truth be told. I don’t have the time or patience to bask in the sun and I’m all about protecting my skin, at this point. I love to use a little sunless tanning lotion to add a bit of color to my scary white legs but what I don’t like is looking oomph loompah orange.
I recently tried Nivea’s Sun Kissed Radiant Skin and I love it. But my favorite little trick is to mix sunless tanning cream with regular lotion (about 3/4 sunless + 1/4 regular lotion). Kiehl’s Creme de Corps is my all time fave (a little spend but if you have dry skin this is the best). After slathering it on (and be sure you rub it all in very good), I’m very careful to wash my hands, but I also like to take a damp cloth and swipe over my knees, elbows, toes and any other dry spot so that it doesn’t soak up the excess and appear darker or blotchy when it dries. Works like a charm.
Do you have any tips for a good summers glow?
Want to know another? I like to dust some of my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (probably my fave piece of makeup) onto the tops of my shoulders and collar bones. I do this daily and it is a perfect little pick me up.

Thanks for the tip!
I need to do this, love the sue kissed look but I prefer not to be in the sun without sunscreen. This sounds just up my alley!

Nice post! My skin is pretty dry so I put pretty much moisturizing lotion and also it helps me to get more tanned (even though i dont know why). I just notice that putting moisturizing lotion smoother and more tanned :)

This needs to be my year round routine since we see so little sun here in Denmark! I keep promising my kids that I have a gorgeous bronze olive complexion underneath my pale, not-so-Greek looking skin! :-)

Denmark sounds so dreamy. I’m pale all of the time…so I thought I’d really try to have a wee bit of glow even if it is a fake one :) xo . t

Yes! I’m a mixer from way back too – in fact, I used to do the foundation and moisturiser before tinted moisturiser became a big thing. Am so innovative. i also like to mix a tiny bit of lipstick with vaseline for cheeks and in summer always do the T zone with a brush of bronzer and down to the neck and chest – i hate my face looking different to the rest of my body! ahh summer… i can’t wait for it to return. we’re in the middle of winter and I HATE being cold. i keep dreaming of lazy summer days… xx

You are so ahead of the times, for real! That is a great tip for the lipstick and vaseline – thanks! I always still think its so crazy that we are opposites with summer and winter! enjoy cozying up! xo . t
