Sometimes messes aren’t just made, they are had.  This big, planned on, mess happened in our back yard with much excitement.  We have a summer list (more to come on that), you know, things we want to make a point to do before we are all rushed off to school again.  And a shaving cream fight is something the little la la’s (El + L, that is) wanted to do big time.  So, on a boring, “there’s nothing to do,” kind of summer day, the littles jumped in their swimsuits without any intention of jumping in the pool.  I handed them each a can of shaving cream and they had at it.  I thought this would be a 10 minute kind of crazy, but instead it was a good 45 minute filler, filled with squeals, screams and giant goggle eyed giggles.  This is the best kind of mess.  Instead of stress it brings laughter and the clean up is as easy as a spray of the hose streaming with cold water on a hot day.

So tell me lovelies, have you made any intentional messes this summer?  Have you ever had a shaving cream fight?  I’d definitely recommend adding this to your list if your looking for a few, quick, end of summer things to do  (just don’t get the shaving cream in the eyes!).  Here’s to making a bit of mess today!
