I’m quite certain that most of you know Caitlin from Sacramento Street. And, if you don’t than allow me the pleasure of introducing you to one of my favorite bloggers. Caitlin and I met a few years back in New York and then again at ALT that same year. We have stayed in touch and I’m happy to call Caitlin a friend. Besides besides being beautiful and genuinely sweet, It’s no secret that Caitlin is super talented. Not only does she author the very popular blog, Sacramento Street, she also works full time in the interior design Industry. Caitlin has a great eye for design, fabulous style and impeccable taste (seriously, I’m always stalking her Pinboards).
At the start of each week our apartment starts out pretty spotless – Sunday cleaning and tidying is necessary when you live in such a small space. There is one place that becomes my dumping ground in the apartment. As the week gets overwhelmingly busy with work, events and the blog, I come home and leave everything on the chair and table. By the end of the week there are probably eight pairs of shoes, two coats, scarves and purses hanging out waiting to be put away. On Friday afternoons I come home and put it all away for the weekend. My husband hates that I do this, but I’ve got to say, it’s just who I am.
The piles and piles of magazines around the apartment – from the basket in our entry, to the bookcase in our dining room, to the stack of fifty magazines underneath my nightstand . . . they will never go away. I refer back to them all the time. A one point I did a massive clean, throwing away almost all of me Domino magazines (except for 10) and to this day I regret it.
We live by this quote and only keep the things that matter to us. Since we’ve been living in a small space for almost eight years it’s all about keeping things simple.

I don’t know about you but I happen to have the same situation going on at my house. The table and chairs seem to be a great catch all. Tell me, where do you tend to pile your things throughout the week?

Love this series idea!
I have a few Domino magazines that I’ve kept too — I still look through mine all the time.

I just found this blog, I love it! I’m exactly the same way, my apartment is a mess until the end of every week. I work from home so I try to keep my studio area uncluttered, but the kitchen table tends to be where everything ends up.
