little paris kitchen + the cooking channel.  you know i love a good cooking show.  especially of the french and english variety.  the other week i discovered the the cooking channel (move over food network) is now airing old episodes of nigella bites.  happy dance.  and then i discovered little paris kitchen.  double happy dance.  watch it.  you will love it!  and speaking of my fave nigella, have you heard of the taste (cooking competition)?  are you going to watch?

hi Trina, i bought the german version of my little french kitchen here in austria, it is such a joy, visually beautiful. ironically just before i read your post, i was paging through this cook book searching for inspiration. snowing and raining here in vienna, austria. this week-end i am trying my hand at painting. i love the sea, grew up right opposite the beach front in cape town and could hear the waves and fog horn of the ships, smell the salt – i get so home sick sometimes. anyway, what i wanted to say is, i got so home sick that i bought myself some paint brushes and paint of course and painted the sea and the sun. showed it to some colleagues at work. i work at the united nations and have the privilege to share my working life with some very talented people hence, you can imagine my total and utter surprise when i was looked at by several colleagues with shock ‘i did not know you can paint’!!! ahm, neither did i Trina. needless to say, it kind of got me going again with the paint brushes. thanks so much for posting such inspiring pictures, above all for your sincere write-ups. i love them. you lead such an exciting life. and your children are beautiful. i wish i could have more children. thank you for remaining you. looking forward to your next post. rozanna and pia bojdo

@Rozanna, thank you so much for sharing and for your very kind words.that is fabulous that you started painting and sharing your work. i hope to try painting soon, just for the fun of it. and i’m glad you like that cookbook… i def wanted to get it! everything in perspective, my day to day is not that exciting….grocery store, laundry, dirty diapers, etc. and then there are some really interesting things mixed in…but that is what makes life so great. i like the mix of it! thanks for commenting!!! xo . trina
