sometimes the messier the better? yes? i love a space that looks worked in. especially when there is creative work involved. my eyes find no offense or annoyance in this kind of chaos. i’m only left with curiosity and interest. i’d like nothing more than to comb over every little bit of something or anything in this space. i’m certain there are a lot of stories hidden in the papers, the paint and the piles.
do you think you your papers or piles say anything about you?

If we are to leave our papers in neat, little piles, it’s likely we don’t often go through them, hardly ever shuffle them around in a frenzy looking for that particular sheet. As such, I think a “worked in” space like this shows dedication to and passion for the work at hand.

I think one of the most beautiful features of a workspace is the way it’s perfectly disheveled. It shows that there’s life and breath and creativity that blooms there and that it is a loved space. I find it harder to track down a particular item without knowing that’s it’s somewhere under a stack of papers. It’s the thrill of the hunt. And it keeps that creative juice flowing!

Haha! Right now my piles would say ” You better figure out what insurance company you are going with BY THURSDAY or both the house and cars will be uninsured.” Sometimes my piles are more entertaining. I do have one pile that says “Let’s draw.” And another that says “Sew me”.
But mostly it seems the piles I have these days are “put me in a file ” piles.
O yes! and I have EIGHT HUGE PILES right now of dirty laundry.
I like the piles you have pictured better….
