i call these happy spots. i could be happy eating here. sleeping here. reading here. writing here. being here. sometimes its the smallest spots that have the biggest impact.

My front porch, it’s pretty private (great for reading) but I’m still close enough to be spotted by the neighbors for a friendly chat :)

I don’t yet because we’re moving this weekend. During the summer its a hammock if I’m lucky. But I’ll see what corner I can carve out in the new place! Somewhere for tea and cookies…

That little reading nook looks just about right. I would move in with little (ahem, no) prodding. Partly because my house is overwhelmed by kids’ stuff and kids themselves and no happy spots exist without a brightly-colored toy.
