i have to tell you, lately, i feel like i’ve been playing catch up with self care.  i haven’t been taking the time to do things like exercise, do my hair or even wash my face.  the whole neglecting scene was starting to catch up with me in a bad kind of way.  it took a week of consistent exercise and a pedicure to get myself together.  i’ve been pretty consistent (this week) about washing my face, slathering on lotions and potions and taking time to pick out a non yoga pants outfit or at least updating the yoga pants with a cute shirt (most days).

my favorite pick me up is without a doubt is makeup and beauty products.  i’ve told you this before.  yes, maybe a few times.

obviously, i needed a little pick me up.  but this time i went for some of my tried trues.  some i’ve tried going without and had forgotten, frankly, how much i love them:

amore pacific time response skin renewal mist : this is the (theeeee) best misting spray i’ve ever used.  if you travel all the time than you need this.  i carry a small one in my carry on and spray on my face during flights.

hourglass calligraphy liquid eyeliner : ok, truth is, i just bought this the other day, for the first time, but after using it one time i know this will be one i keep stocked.  i’ve never used such an easy to apply liquid liner.  like pretty much fool proof, friends.  if you want to do a cat eye or wing than this is it.  i did it beautifully with my impatient hand.  this one is a game changer for me.

bobbi brown bath : the product i use the most.  i’ve never gone through bottles of anything like i go through this.  it’s my favorite scent hands down and since it is so light i’ve started layering it with other perfumes and creating my own custom scents.

bumble and bumble surf Spray : i had been out of this for awhile and thought i really didn’t need to purchase more but after i finally did, i remembered why this product really does work the best if you want the tousled beachy hair.  which i do.
