happy friday.  how was your week everyone?  i thought i’d share a few instagram pictures today.  we went into the city and i forgot my camera.  in all actuality, i was kind of ok with it because sometimes its hard to just be in the moment.

we went to rainforest cafe (the sacrifices we make for our children – ha) and to the zoo (but only for a few short hours because it was sweltering).  tuesday happened to be my birthday and i woke up to find out that princess kate had gone to hospital.  a few weeks back i had a random thought that, “oh hey, the royal baby is going to be born this month.”  i was so excited about this and was hoping that the baby would be born on my birthday.  my british friend maggie and i were texting back and forth about the whole situation and it was from her that i got the news that the prince had been born.  i was so excited!  i love things like this (and want to know something weird?  princess diana died on the night of my wedding).

so after the hot, smelly zoo the kids went home with my mom and a friend and i was able to have a few hours by myself downtown.  i decided it was only right to have cup of tea to celebrate the birth of a king.  so i snuck up to the ritz carlton and had tea by myself.  well, actually with my friend maggie virtually.  i had some divine little snacks (if you are wondering what the toothpaste looking tube is… it is parmesan cheese to spread on crackers) and some moments to take in some quiet.  next i snuck over to anthro for a bit and then met one of my lifelong friends for dinner and we went to big star.  it was super great.  the company and the food (again, so in the moment i forgot to snap a pic of us).

its been a super busy week and i’ve been spending time getting ready for my anthro craft night and then next week, i’ll start getting ready for ethiopia!

with all that is going on, i don’t have any great links to share as i haven’t had time to look around much this week but  i do know the nordstrom sale is still going on!
