twisted + pleated tee / destroyed skinny jeans / cuff sandals
this post all started in my mind with this t-shirt. i just wanted to share it because i’m kind of in love with it (like, i kind of wish i had one in every color). it’s comfy and flattering. and, it’s long enough to wear with leggings and cover your behind and it tapers in to give you a nice waistline. perfect, right? i thought you’d like to know. and, maybe see how my hair turned out (remember my post?). i didn’t go as blonde as i wanted because i didn’t think i could handle the upkeep….at least for now.
but… really, what i want to say is…. fashion your thoughts forward. don’t dread tomorrow. look forward to it. don’t look back. go on and gaze ahead. dream. sometimes we have to literally fashion our thoughts, meaning we have to create good thoughts to replace the negative ones. before you create art, stories, designs and so on, you first fashion the concept and ideas in your mind….so in all of your creating, start with beautiful thoughts and plans and they will shape your future!

p.s. as i was re-reading this post i remembered a talk i heard (when i was in london) about the brain, from dr. leaf, who is a brain specialist. she said such fascinating things that i couldn’t write fast enough to catch all of her words. but, one thing she said, that i did catch, was that thoughts are real things that occupy mental real estate. she also went on to describe that thoughts look like trees in our brains (the illustration was pretty amazing) and that we are always building with our thoughts….what you think about the most will grow (like branches). fascinating and scary. but…positive thinking can change the toxic damage. i also learned that when you laugh you increase your brain power. i love knowing that. and it is another good reminder to lighten up and seek out ways to add laughter to my life. anyhow, you can learn more about her work here, if you are interested.

Great words on thought life! I am a heavy thinker and often feel the weight of negative thoughts. Thanks for the link to that Dr. She has very interesting stuff! xo
