whilst toddler shoe shopping in nordstrom’s a few weeks back, i happend upon a tank that said “la la land.” i couldn’t pass it up. i decided on some black lounge pants too. and, i was careful to pick ones that i could roll right out of bed and walk into the grocery store wearing. i like to think of this as multi-tasking clothes and good time management.
i don’t often buy pj’s or lounge wear which is why i thought a few additions might be a good idea. i am one of those creatures that sleeps in old t-shirts. i try, as i will, to break this habit, but i always seem to revert. old habits are hard to break.
what about you? i’m curious. do you have pretty pjs? any quirks when it comes to what you wear to bed?
i don’t like . . .
i don’t like long sleeves and am not a fan of pj pants for actual sleeping. and while i don’t like long sleeves covering up my arms, i do like a barefoot dreams blanket wrapped around my arms and neck (actually it is this awesome wrap, which i don’t think they sell anymore? does anyone know?). this may slightly annoy mister lovely as he thinks i still sleep with a blanket. oh well, the blanket is not going anywhere, exccept with me when i travel.
p.s. i also picked up this sweatshirt and these shorts which are great for lazy days (and, yes to wearing the sweatshirt out, no to wearing the shorts out, at least for me).

It’s cold where I am now so leggings and flannel or knit sleep shirts. Mostly it has to be soft and cozy feeling.
When my daughters had early morning soccer games they would sleep in their uniforms so all they had to do was brush their teeth, grab their cleats and go. I thought-and still think-that is a genius solution for handling early mornings when you aren’t a morning person.
I’m having issues now because I have to walk my dog-no fence and grumpy dog hating neighbor with a gun-because I hate getting out of my warm pjs into warmer dog walking clothes. My friend suggested one of those hunting jumpsuits to step into, zip up, and go. It is all kinds of convenient and TRUE genius. I’m in the country so the camo look fits right in….just add red gloves and scarf so I don’t get shot by over zealous hunters.

i have caught my L sleeping in his school uniform before. i think they know whats going on. I’m still in my pj pants this morning, which sadly are not the grocery store ready kind…. i understand not wanting to get out of them to walk the dog. i think the hunting jump suit is a great idea….. i know exactly what you are talking about….if put one of those on, i might win mom of the year with my 3 boys. and yes, put some red on :) xo .t

I am very picky about my pjs. I always sleep in pants, even in the summer. ( I hate for my legs to sweat and stick together. ) I lean towards old tee shirts with my flannel or jersey sleep pants.

Gap has two great lines, Gap Body and Gap Fit that I like for days at home, days when function wins over glamor and I want to go the gym before running around town. They are super comfortable, and made better than most lines of workout/lounge wear.

@Genni Burkhart, do you have a fave style / pair of workout pants from Gap Body or Fit?

I like the Gap body leggins & the motion T’s the BEST. The motion T come’s in great colors that have gotten me out of my normal black, white and grey. I have the g-flex capri pants for summer. When I was pregnant I wore the cotton GAP pure body pants, and the T’s shirts which are the absolute softest t shirts to sleep in. Those are more comfort, not so much for the gym. A tip, if you sign up for their emails, they actually send great discounts and coupons for baby gap, gap outlet and gap.com as well as the regular GAP stores. Headed there this weekend to use those myself :)
