Photos, Frames + Pinhole Press

Aren’t these pictures super cute?  I’m hoping some of you can relate in that it has taken me almost a year to get my photos framed (just keeping it real).  I had these special photos printed and framed by Pinhole Press.

It’s no secret that I love Pinhole.  Many of you know what great paper products they have and you’ve seen what fun things I’ve ordered before but did you ever think about printing and framing your most precisous photos with them?  I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long because this was the easiest framing process ever and the finished product is so gorgeous.  Just a couple of clicks online and a few days later they arrived at my front door ready to cheer up my walls.

And speaking of Pinhole, have you seen their new Holiday line? Are you even thinking about the holiday cards yet?  Here a few of my favorites to get you in the mood (in fact, I already have mine picked out – just need the photo) . . .

XOXO / PEACE /MERRY MERRY /Frameable Holiday Wishes / NOEL

And as for gift giving I think this Memory Game is so darling.  Don’t you?

This post was sponsored by Pinhole Press, however, all opinions are my own.

Giveaway : Pinhole Press

 Ella Age 9

Liam Age 2

Luke Age 6

Kids + scribbling kind of go hand in hand.  Hopefully the scribbling goes onto paper and not your walls.  One time, Ella drew all over the wallpapered walls at the Ritz Carlton with crayons (and no they were not the washable kind).  It was a site to see (and in case you are wondering, we got most of it off….with toothpaste! thank you very much Google).  Do you have any funny stories like this?

Usually, if you give kids a place to draw (and you watch them closely) than the wall isn’t even appealing.  I’m totally in love with these personalized Scribble Pads from Pinhole Press, for scribbling, drawing and painting.  And my kids think they are pretty great too.  They love seeing their picture on the cover and they love the size of the notepad (more room for imagination to materialize, yes?!).

So what do you think?  Aren’t these a fun idea? When I saw these  giant pads with a customizable cover I knew they would be perfect for us.  I love them so much that they are likely going to become a gift giving staple for us.

Now here is something really fun:

Pinhole Press has so kindly offered one of our readers a $50 gift card to use towards 2 Scribble Pads or the product of your choice.

To enter simply head over to Pinhole Press  + then leave me a comment letting me know your favorite Mothers Day Gift.

P.S. My favorite ideas for Mother’s Day are the Photo Diary/Journals.  I love the idea of making a personalized family recipe book.  How special would that be? And, I also adore, the Photo Magnets for something fun.

holiday traditions

holiday-tradition

do you have any holiday traditions?

i almost didn’t do christmas cards this year.  i’m trying to cut back on the hustle and bustle and the “have tos,” i seemingly always put on myself.  i love sending cards, but just the thought of outfits and photos and wrangling made me heavily tired.  thus, i succumbed to my weariness and congratulated my self on letting go a bit.

but . . . then i remembered my own personal little tradition.

i always write out my christmas cards while watching little women.  this wasn’t something i planned or put together, it was just something that happened many moons ago.  before photo shoot style christmas cards and before my brood.  i used to just sit down with my box of old fashioned cards and write them out watching one of my favorite (holiday) movies.  it was relaxing and ritualistic.

after remembering my yearly to do, i didn’t want to miss the tradition.  my sunday afternoon with myself and jo and all the others is always so enjoyable.  so i decided to do cards.  and, to do them as easily as i could.  i still love the idea of a photo card, because i love that my kids will be able to have one for each year they were growing up, so i wanted to somehow stick with that.

i popped over to pinhole press (my fave place for holiday cards) and found this collage card which works perfectly with instagram pics.  i love the idea of sharing snap shots from our our year.   it’s not fancy but it’s no fuss.

i adore the idea of traditions during the holidays.  not ones that you are a slave to or feel obligated to do, but rather ones that warm you like a blanket, with its covering of cherished memories.  when i make my grandpa’s favorite meal, i can hear his whistle and almost see his baby blues.  making or doing things that bring memories to life are magic.  and suddenly tradition is sacred.

i’d love to here what kind of traditions you keep, whether big or small.

p.s. if you are in the same boat i am + still contemplating cards, you can go no fuss . . . pinhole is offering 20% off all holiday cards + free shipping for orders over $75

Christmas Cards

Christmas Cards via La La Lovely

Do you do Christmas cards?  This year we did our cards with Pinhole Press.  This is the first year I’ve done cards with them, but I’ve always been so happy with any and everything I’ve ordered from Pinhole.

We snapped some pictures of our wild brood and I knew I wanted to keep the look and layout simple, this year.  So instead of choosing a card with a lot going on, I opted to be kind of playful with our photo. The baby boys look like little wild cubs (and pretty much act like little wild cubs most of the time too).  I’m kind of obsessed with their lion hats (to say the least).

And speaking of Christmas cards, one of my holiday traditions has to do with them.  Every year while filing out my Christmas cards I watch Little Women.  I found myself doing this a couple of years in a row and deemed it my own little personal tradition….And now I look forward to watching and writing every year.

If you haven’t ordered any cards yet, check out Pinhole Press and if you are all about a good pen… this is the one i’m loving at the moment.
