Optimistically Overwhelmed : Alt Summit

Kirsten, Erin, Keisha & me

I’m feeling a little crazy in the brain {looks like it, right?}.  I’m Optimistically Overwhelmed by the information and inspiration from Alt Summit.
I was going to go and then life happened {the one growing inside of me, that is} and then I wasn’t.  And suddenly in a bit of a panic and frenzy I thought I really should go.
In the past 6 months I have, somewhat surprisingly, decided to do two things that I would normally pass by.  Things that I’d think about, talk about, even plan and then, most likely, not follow through on.  You know the kind of things that others so easily decide to do and then do them without much time to think.
I decided that the lingering taste of regret is far worse than then the immediate plate of fear that always seems to be served up.  Me and regret are so not going to be BFF!
So I went. . .
My friend Keisha hopped a plane and met me and we had a super fun time rooming with Jenny.
I met so many bloggers.  My favorites {I can now hear her voice when I read her magically crafted words} and my bests {she is even more stylish than her blog}.  Bloggers I had never heard of and ones I have
admired from a far.  And even caught up with bloggers that have become real life friends.

The sessions were genius led by genius.  It was hard to decide which ones to attend.  I was able to attend a tabletop photography class with Tyler and Wendy, of Blue Lily, {two of my favorite meets} who are just as colorful as the pictures they take {their recap is making my eyes laugh}.

Did you see me?  I may or may not have looked a little shifty eyed at times.  So much style going on here and there.  It was hard for these retinas to focus.  I really wanted to go around taking pictures of people’s shoes, clothing, hair and so on.  I failed at my mission {but you can see what I’m talking about here} but there is always next year.
The eye candy right out side my window was beyond spectacular.

And now, it is back to the everyday.  But with a bit of spring in my step.  Still so much to think through, implement and dream up.  And that’s a good place to be.
I can’t wait until next year {you want to come now too, don’t you?}.
And whatever it is that you are wanting to do and thinking you won’t.  Just go for it.  Regret is bad company.  Trust me!
Happy week lovelies! xo

Trina, you got so many fantastic photos! It was so wonderful meeting you at the airport and then running into you over and over again.

Maybe we'll all luck out and Alt will be even longer next year so we'll have more time for fun.
