happy friday.  i’ve been trying to get things back in order this week after our #lalaandgrove decorating extravaganza (will be posting the makeover + video in the next 2 weeks).  still not quite caught up, but i don’t know if i’ll ever be.  when one things gets done, another thing comes undone.  you know the drill, yes?

tomorrow Luke is turning 8.  i’m feeling a little forlorn about 8.  i mean, that is 2 away from 10.  i’m trying to stuff the semi-sadness and focus on the sweet, as in cake.  candy cake to be exact.  i’ll be making one these tomorrow.  somehow luke is the only one who has managed to have a tradition like this and the same type of cake every year.  what can i say, the kid knows what he likes.  especially when sweets are involved.
