valentines cards

valentines-puzzle

do you make your own valentines or do you buy them?  while, i would love to share with you some brilliant crafty cards i came up with on a whim, i am one of those that buys kung fu panda and hello kitty cards at my local walgreens.  we are usually traveling during february and just don’t have the time to bother.  i’ve been spying some really cute ideas on the interwebs that don’t look that difficult or time consuming and i think we just might attempt to make our valentines cards this year.

here are a few of my favorites :

I love the envelopes! We did glow stick valentines a couple years ago, and they were great. Now I just get a set of blank notecards and let the boys create their own. It lets them practice their writing, and they decorate with pictures and/or stickers. This year we stuck a dove chocolate in each one. If you start early enough, it’s a great winter activity to keep them occupied.

Definitely love the envelope idea! I have 26 kiddos to give Valentines to in my 5th grade class. The envelopes are just the right touch of whimsy!
